Microneedling from Medical Aesthetics BY Lacey

Microneedling

Refresh and rejuvenate your skin with microneedling and VAMP at Medical Aesthetics by Lacey. This advanced skin treatment is designed to naturally stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, and restore your skin’s natural glow.

About Microneedling

Microneedling involves the use of a needling device to create micro-injures in the skin for the purpose of skin rejuvenation. The needles on a microneedling device puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture of the needle creates a microscopic channel, or empty space. The skin recognizes this channel as tissue loss and begins to produce collagen and elastin to “fill” the channel. The result is an improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.

About Microneedling with Vamp

Microneedling with VAMP offers a breakthrough solution to restore your skin’s youthful glow. This innovative treatment uses a topical, sterile bio-revitalizing solution enriched with vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRN) for unparalleled skin rejuvenation.

VAMP offers an innovative ingredient—salmon sperm DNA (PDRN). This breakthrough in aesthetic medicine is gaining popularity for its remarkable ability to rejuvenate, heal, and enhance the skin’s natural radiance. And if you’re worried about having actual salmon sperm being put onto your body, don’t be. The treatment only uses polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN)—molecules extracted from the sperm DNA of salmon. These have a 95% match to human DNA! They encourage healing and cell regeneration and are known for their superior regenerative properties, aiding in cell repair, hydration, and collagen production

About The Treatment

What to expect

When your microneedling appointment is booked, a numbing cream will be sent to your pharmacy for you. Apply this numbing cream to your clean face, including jawline, under eyes, and near your scalp approximately 30 minutes prior to the appointment. Upon arrival, the numbing cream will be removed and your face will be cleansed with a sterile, antibacterial solution. The microneedling treatment will then be administered. After completion of microneedling, the skin will be cleansed again with a sterile solution and VAMP will be applied and massaged into the skin. A post care kit will be given prior to leaving the appointment and post care instructions will be discussed.

How long is the treatment?

Microneedling with VAMP usually takes around 30 minutes.

Does it hurt?

The sensation of microneedling is often described as “hot” or “prickly” and sometimes tickles. Pain is minimized with the application of numbing cream prior to the appointment.

What is the downtime?

Immediately after treatment, your skin may experience redness and minor swelling. These effects generally subside within a day or two. Since your skin is more sensitive following this procedure, it is highly recommended to avoid sun exposure while your skin is healing. Additionally, we will advise you to avoid wearing makeup and avoid sweating, hot tubs, and saunas for 24-48 hours following the treatment.

How often should I receive Microneedling with VAMP?

When scheduling your microneedling treatment, it is important to remember that while you may see results after one session, it is generally recommended that microneedling be completed in a series of 3-5 treatments every 4-6 weeks, followed by a maintenance program. The frequency of treatments depends upon the desired effect and needle length used. Medical Aesthetics by Lacey will work with you to design a treatment plan specifically for your skin.
